A substance abuse policy is present. The policy was initially formulated in 1987.
National Mental Health Programme
A national mental health programme is present. The programme was formulated in 1992.
The MOH convened a group of experts and has developed the National Mental Health Project of China (2002-10). The three main areas of focus are - integrated care and multisectoral links, equity, community care, training of mental health professionals, increasing research, development of a mental health legislation. Specific targets have been set. A national disaster mental health response plan is being developed.
National Therapeutic Drug Policy/Essential List of Drugs
A national therapeutic drug policy/essential list of drugs is present. It was formulated in 1995.
