There is little psychoanalysis in China, though the books of Dr. Freud and his students were widely translated and published in China. Some of German and Argentina psychoanalysts have had workshops in China to promote the practice. On the other hand, The "Morita therapy", "DAOEST therapy", cognitive-behavior therapy and family therapy have been developed rapidly in China since 1980s.
As pharmaceutical therapy, there is no significant difference between China and Western Countries. Up to now, many new types of medicines have been marketed and available in China: like Risperidon, Zyprexa, Seraquel, Zoloft, Prozac, Paroxetine, Luvox, Venlafaxine, Remeron and so on. Clozapine, with its wide anti-psychotic efficacy and extreme cheap price, was one of the most commonly used neuroleptic in China.
